Community Empowerment & Development Action (CEDA) is a Non-governmental, Non-political and Non-profit seeking National NGO based in Dollow district –Gedo region and has its head office in Dollow town and Sub offices in Mogadishu, Kismayu and Nairobi.
Our primary goals is to sensitize the devastated Somali community on various aspects including Health, Peace, democracy and human rights, eradication of harmful traditional practice and social Norms, HIV/AIDS, disaster and emergency preparedness and response among others

Our Objectives.
CEDA aims to foster a sustainable and equitable development by assisting communities to properly identify their development needs and match those needs with available resources (human, technical, financial, material and natural)
- To promote primary health care for under five children.
- To reduce malnutrition of vulnerable children and pregnant lactating women.
- To reduce malnutrition cases among children security.
- To facilitate the community with health support and services.
- To promote child rights and right of child participation.
- To improve the livelihood of IDP community.
- Promote the right to education and development of children.
- Promote resilience and rehabilitation programs among the IDPs populations.
- To improve the maternal health for pregnant lactating women.
- To provide medical health services to build on resilience of the community.
- To promote awareness on Gender based violence among the community.
- To sensitize on rights of the girl child against traditional vices and exploitation.
OUR PROGRAMS

Basic /General Health Care
With the consultative support from stakeholders CEDA health center has provided basic health care with the provision of basic drugs and supplies from our health partners like World Vision Somalia and UNICEF Somalia.

Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH)
Through UNICEF (CLTS) project CEDA sensitizes the community on the need to construct simple latrines and use of hand washing tools in Dollow district and its surrounding villages which the project is operating under.

Child Protection and GBV
Through the Child Protection intervention CEDA in partnership with UNICEF provides services to cover child welfare and protect the right of the child to grow and participate as part of the community.
